The Stonewall 50 Time Capsule "Quarantine" Writing Workshop

The Generations Project welcomes Stonewall 50 Consortium members and other LGBTQ+ voices to join a special 1 Day Writing Workshop on Sunday, May 17th, from noon-2:00PM.

This will be an opportunity to reflect on and share our thoughts, emotions and experiences of quarantine and Covid-19, within a supportive, inclusive group environment. Facilitators will guide participants through various brainstorms, prompts and discussion topics, in small and large groups, culminating in a short piece of writing-- a personal journal entry, a letter to the future, a summary of daily life in quarantine, etc. to be included in the Time Capsule as testament to this unique moment in history.

Participants will be invited to share their created content with others in June and beyond until the Stonewall 50 Time Capsule is sealed and closed at the New York Historical Society. Our time capsule was scheduled to close June 30th, 2020, but the closing is being postponed until museums in NYC reopen.
